In May of 2007, we released the first-ever (as far as we know) website, whereas our customers book their own moves, get their own flat-rate quotes, and manage their own accounts.
Due to this, in 2008, as the owner and founder, I was able to quit being an employee as a mechanical design engineer of 22 years, from running my moving company part-time nights and weekends to full time.

Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Getting to meet such a vast and dynamic amount of people in California. We soon become friends with them.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. It was a side company that exploded with work. Steve is a former Mechanical Design Engineer for 22 years which includes 6 years as a Mechanical Engineer for The Disney Company at Disneyland designing the attraction vehicles. A true American entrepreneur, founding and / or owner of 6 different companies to date. 3 engineering firms, a footwear distribution company, litigation management start-up, and a very unique moving company licensed throughout the State of California. He has earned several university degrees, while also interning for a US Congressman, NY State Senator, the Judicial Department under the American Bar Association and with a Shadow Minister in the House of Commons of Parliament, London, England. Steve has been to 17 countries thus far while also successfully completing an overseas legal studies program at Brunel University Law School in Uxbridge, England. Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes. We are continuously updated by the California Public Utilities Commission and the California Moving and Storage Association.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Hybrid moving trucks! These beauties only emit nitrogen (good) and water vapor (good). They are so clean that on a smoggy Los Angeles day, they actually clean the air!
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Expect to work 90-110 hours per week. Have thick skin and have highly stressed-out customers act out of character...and you do not skip a beat. You have their goal to achieve, and you focus on meeting or exceeding their expecatations.
