FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Christine takes photography seminars from time to time to keep current. She just enrolled in Professional Photographers of America.... "West Coast School" here in San Diego. A week long seminar to study with Jennifer Hudson.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We join over two hundred couples a year together in marriage on the sunny, sandy beaches of Coronado, California. Most all of our ceremonies are elopements, in other words, small tiny ceremonies with under a dozen guests. Many couples who choose our services, simply don't want the expense and stress of a big event, but want something really fun and memorable. They choose Elope San Diego because we provide them with a wonderful experience, easy planning, great packages and our fees are affordable. We provide all of the services for couples without having to subcontract to other vendors. One stop event planning! A great majority of our couples travel from all over the United States to San Diego to be married. Typically we have better weather than other parts of the country all year long-- it's a great destination wedding venue, the beaches are fantastic!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As any bride will tell you, planning a big event like a wedding can be very stressful. By the time you are making a call to us, or someone like us.... you've probably decided to avoid the big wedding drama and just have a very small ceremony or simply elope. Ceremony planning is about priorities and stretching your budget even with a small event. In the end, you'll no doubt want something nice to look back on when you think of your wedding day. When comparing elopement services,or destination weddings companies always double check, so you know exactly what is included in your package before you make your deposit. Know if travel and hotel are included. It's wise to find out who is providing each service,as many companies simply subcontract from different vendors to put together a package for you. It's okay to ask lots of questions if you don't understand. For example if a package has "photography" it can mean a number of different things: maybe just the session and a website to look at, ask if will you have any prints? Is the CD included? Will you have a copyright release? How many images? How much time? Be sure to look at samples of the photography from the person who will be at the ceremony. Double check the location of the event, know number of guests you are allowed. Are permits needed? Are you responsible for obtaining permits? What about plans for bad weather if the elopement is outside? Ask about rules for the venue (for example our San Diego beaches, no smoking or alcohol--some don't allow dogs). If you follow these guidelines before the big day, you'll have everything taken care of before and can relax and enjoy your day.
