Introduction: One of my groups is Groovenation. We have been picked up by other clients just about every time we are seen playing at a party. We have had guest players just sit down and introduce themselves on the spot and play together like they have been practicing for years. Our front man Eddie was a contestant when he was 8 years old on Ed McMahon's Star Search. The Drummer is charismatic and one of the best players I have ever seen. The key board player Adrienne is not just beautiful but musically gifted, and can fill in any song requiring a female lead. We have a list of musicians we can draw from when ever someone can't make a gig to fill in and they are also top notch musicians. I'm trying to get them on the Letterman show and could easily replace his band. I get to see the magic happen. There have been so many instances where someone has just requested a song that somebody has never played and in a few seconds after discussing the progression among themselves play like they have rehearsed the song all week. The crowed may be oblivious to what just went down but I get to sit back and grin with awe at just how good these people are. I'm blessed to be allowed to witness these events as they happen.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's a flat rate for the most part. Each guy gets around 600 for top venues and we also take in consideration the clients ability to pay. If it's an Elk Lodge it's going to be about 6000, a Casino about 2,000 a night but for 3 or so nights. It depends on demand and supply. A forth of July event at a Bar where they are going to make a killing selling drinks there better be a nice bonus for the band that fills the house. If we're going to learn new songs we will ask about 20 dollars per song that we have to learn. The set list is pretty big though, and if it's a good price we may not even bother with the 20.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oh yea, I'm leaning music as well as the business side of things. At the moment I want the groups to grow and eventually get them doing this full time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with the band.
