My husband and I wanted some very specific things in a wedding photographer, especially since I was an art student. When I saw Laura's work I knew I loved her photojournalistic style, but she she was also really open to our ideas and what we wanted in the end which was perfect.
She was always very quick to respond via phone or email and everything was taken care of well in advance for the wedding day. When the day was finally here, it was flawless, much thanks to Laura! She helped navigate guests for photos with ease and had a fantastic aura behind the camera.
Many of our guests commented on Laura's great personality and style. Her and Neil mingled enough with guests to make everyone comfortable for natural photos while still being professional. All of our friends thought she was actually a guest/friend of mine from school!
Service for the photos was perfect. When my husband and I looked through them for the first time we couldn't believe how beautiful they were and that Laura was able to capture all of the most important moments and details.
We have been married almost a year and I still go through the photos frequently. I'm happy that I'm reminded of Laura and our great experience with her and Neil.

I can't say enough good things about Laura. She is an amazing photographer and an even better person. She captured our wedding day perfectly. I would recommend her with no hesitation. I seriously believe you couldn't find a better person to photograph your special day.
We got married this past August and Laura captured every detail. I really don't know how she did it. She was discrete during the ceremony and such a blast at the reception.
Our photos arrived a few weeks after our wedding and we were able to relive our wonderful day all over again.
I have nothing negative to say about our experience with Laura as our photographer. She is so sweet and talented!

My fiancee and I hired Laura off of thumbtack. I was a bit nervous about hiring any photographer that I did not know and was not referred to, but we definitely found a gem! Of all the decisions we've made so far Laura may be the best one we've made. During our initial conversation, Laura was incredibly professional. I knew she was very experienced because she answered all of my questions before I asked them. We met up with Laura for an engagement shoot a few weeks ago. We had a few unexpected bumps in the road getting there, and getting my fiancee's family all in one place (we took pics with our dog and his family offered to watch her when needed). Laura's attitude was relaxed and positive despite all of the bumps. She was so enthusiastic about the day and took wonderful photos. We just got them last week (earlier than expected!), and loved them! She really helped us to relax about everything. I highly recommend Laura, and cannot wait to have her take our wedding pics on August!

I really feel like we discovered a hidden gem in hiring Laura as our wedding photographer :) From start to finish, she was nothing but pleasant and professional. We planned our wedding on a limited budget, and of course were nervous about entering "you get what you pay for" territory. After meeting with her in person and looking at other indoor weddings she did, we made the decision to hire her, and I am so happy with the results! Our pictures are beautiful, and I love the way she caught a lot of the little details of the decor and moments before the ceremony, since I kind of missed a lot of that stuff.
Just as important, I have received nothing but compliments about her and how much our guests liked her. She does have the ability to sort of see without being seen, so much that there were times I forgot she was even there (in a good way!!), haha. You can tell her work is very important to her, which means your day is important to her, and that's something you want to see when trusting a person to record it for life. :)

We hired Laura to shoot our small wedding on the beach. And she was phenomenal! She was unobtrusive (no small feat at wedding where there are only 25 guests). She has a great eye, and she did a wonderful job capturing those little intimate moments between people. It was exactly what we wanted. (As a former journalist who married another journalist, we know a lot of photographers, so we have pretty high expectations. :)) The photos are just lovely. The turnaround was quick. But most importantly, she's just so pleasant to deal with. We could not be more pleased that we found her!
