Your company’s website should show your company’s uniqueness, not the usual template-oriented that looks like everyone else’s website. You want your website design to stand out from the pack. It needs to be visually appealing and extremely functional.

The prospective consumer needs to be able to get the information that they are looking for, quickly, or they will just go somewhere else, and you will loose a customer.

I do not stay on sites that are overloaded with all sorts of text that is basically plastered all over the page. The use of too many colors is also not appealing; the graphics that flash can also pull from the main content on your site. That is where a well-planned-out web design comes in.

I research your competitors sites, draw up a plan, and once you approve it, I begin the design. Once the first page is completed, I attach it to my site and then wait for your approval and comments. Then I make any necessary changes and load the pages, as they are completed to your server.

I also research keywords for you and add them into your source code, so that search engines will be able to find your site easier.

I design all websites to the customer's specifications. Every site is custom. For samples of my web design work, please visit my web design page. I offer web design packages, as well as piece work.

The pricing for piece work is listed on my price list page.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Website Design and Maintenance, as well as adding keywords to aid with search engine listings.
Corporate Identity which includes Logo Design, Business Card Design, Flyers and more to help get your company noticed.
Photo Restoration and Manipulation.

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. Just finished an online shopping cart at http://www.carbonfibers107.com/ where specialized carbon fiber parts are sold for syma107g helicopters. This morning I completed some minor updates to the website at http://www.geekattheready.com/
I also perform weekly updates to http://www.dixoncommunitychurch.org/ as well as create slideshows and update their Facebook page.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Before hiring a webmaster, check out their previous work and make sure they are offering what you actually want. Check their pricing, as with any other business there will be those that charge way too much. Make sure all costs are discussed up front.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Before hiring a website designer the customer needs to know what he wants from his website. Is the purpose of the site to get information out or is it to sell a product. Also some general thoughts on color schemes and the layout of the site. Does he want the site to be simple and straightforward or flashy.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take my clients input very seriously, the site is theirs and should convey exactly what they want. Working closely with the client I get the design and color scheme they want. I can build the site totally from scratch or use a template. I can also work with software that customers pay for on a monthly basis for website design. With some of these they are not as "easy" as they claim to be and the customer might need a little help.
