As an acupuncturist who is educated in Dr. Tan's Balance Method and obtained her Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2005 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Jane Mergens, L.Ac. can address many issues such as depression, insomnia, anxiety, women's hormonal and menstrual problems, as well as infertility.
In a regular manner, she also treats patients with gastrointestinal problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's Disease, diverticulitis and poor digestion. Her range of practice includes all kinds of pain syndromes such as neck pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, joint pain and injuries, arthritis and peripheral neuropathy. She has treated lots of patients with headaches of all types, including migraines.
We also have acupuncturist and massage therapist, Dr. Paulo, D.A.O.M., L.Ac, L.M.T. Dr. Pier A. Paulo also finished her masters in traditional oriental medicine in 2003 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

History:
We were established in 2009. Teresa and Joel are both in the alternative medicine career. Joel finished his certification in Holistic Health Practitioner in 2006 and Teresa Onan accomplished her Massage Therapy certification in 2010 and is presently completing her oriental medicine master's at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
Joel began his massage career when he was just 7 years old as a prentice for his grandparents who are massage therapists, acupuncturists and herbalists in the Philippines. Teresa, as a young girl, saw her mother's Bell's Palsy condition vanished with one acupuncture treatment while living in Montana, U.S.A. This event of her life cause her to decide to go after a passion to become a doctor of oriental medicine.
Joel and Teresa both have the desire and passion to help individuals have their health back in order. With this strong desire and passion, "Joel's Massage and Holistic Center" origination became a reality in 2009.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. We specialize mostly in Therapeutic and Medical Acupuncture and Massage. Our Licensed Acupuncturists are highly qualified and experienced. They have achieved the highest education in their fields and their years of experienced will give their patients or clients the highest confidence that they will come out feeling better and will come back for more.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The best way to look for a Licensed Acupuncturist or Massage Therapist is to ask for their credentials and to make sure that they are highly educated and experienced. Also, it is important to verify their qualifications and validate the informations that was mentioned on the phone or their advertising. Be sure to always check their background and their respective reviews from their patients or clients. If positive reviews outweigh the negative to almost 100% then you are going to the right place.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Always ask for their qualifications and experiences. Their charges may not be as important as long as you are getting the service that you are looking for. Quality always beats the price. Also look for a sign that said clinic or holistic center, these places are design to help you get better from the pain that you are currently experiencing.
