With tommorrow being the last day of Sifu's 8 week self improvement class, I'm looking foward to see how far everyone has gotten. I'm feeling great and I dropped 12 lbs. With that I've gained toner and leaner muscle. Being a mother of 3 Sifu's training gave me the mental and physcial confidence to continue to live healthier and work towards my first half marathon in June. I look foward to more of Sifu's classes and will miss the postive energy of the group.
Our attitude, "Let's do this."
Thank you Sifu for your encouragement and training.
If you are looking for a personal trainer Sifu is the man.

Sifu Ferreira is hands down the best fitness trainer/personal coach in San Diego County. I travelled from Riverside County just to train with him... and boy did he deliver results. I met and exceeded my goals and now have the tools to workout on my own, eat healthy and stay fit for life. Thank you Sifu, nobody does it like you do!!! You're the best!

I'm 16 and trained with Sifu Ferreira for a week and a half preparing for a physical fitness test to qualify for a10 day program, "Devil Pups", at Camp Pendleton. When I first started training with Sifu, I was close to running a 7 minute mile, and by the end I was 7 seconds away from breaking a 5 minute mile. Lets just say when i did this little physical fitness test for the marine program i was trying out for, i was in the top ten scores out of 165 teenagers. Its all about being mentally strong, and if you'r not, sifu will make sure you are.

When asked about doing the Sifu Challenge... Working out at 5am, 6 days a week, for 8 weeks... the first red flag was 5 AM!!!! I wanted it to be at another time, but then I started thinking "What time would be better?" 6am to 7am, I would have a conflict about 2 days a week. 5pm? I would have a conflict 4 days a week. 5 AM!, I had no conflict, except sleep, and it was way to early to commit. My second thought was imagining what my life would be like without doing the challenge, or with doing the challenge. Without doing the challenge, though I was in what was considered good shape, I wanted to tone up, loose a few pounds, and increase endurance. Being an actor, there is a big difference between being "in shape", and being camera ready in shape. The Sifu Challenge, is what I needed to align with my goals. Looking at my life without the course, nothing would change, I would still have my complaints and unfulfilled goals, and aspirations. With the course I would be in line with how I see myself, and could reach my goals in a short period of time. 5 am, would mean I needed to be up, 3 1/2 hours after going to bed.
I made the decision, a no brainer, to join the Challenge, and once that was made, the rest was awesome.
There is something very empowering about getting up at 4:25am just for yourself, driving to the school just for yourself, and having a workout session set up and designed just for you, with other people set out to accomplish the same goal. It's like a portal opening up in the universe, for your physical transformation, that then vanishes at 6:15am. We all arrive, workout, and leave in an hour. Sifu pushes you, somewhat, but it really is up to you to push yourself. Results will come with minimal effort, but real breakthroughs come with challenging yourself to make tomorrows reps more than today. Its easy to see results in the melting and sculpting of your body, but it is difficult to know the results strength wise, as you are increasing the number of reps you are doing... i.e. in 2 min. if you do 20 bench presses, of light weight the first week, and you are doing 40 the second with slightly more weight, you still reach a point where you can't do more, and the number what ever it is... is just a number. Muscle confusion, the "Swallow challenge", cardio, and friends.
No matter where you are now, out of shape, "in shape", weak or strong... you need to take the challenge! I did, and my life has altered. I just turned 45, and I can honestly say I have more strength, endurance, and physical fitness, then I ever have. I joined the 200 pound bench club, have tons more energy, and can literally feel my body burning at a higher level.

Well, I for one would not recommend this class - - - unless you:
1. want to weigh more when you complete the program. I increased muscle mass by 8 lbs.
2. want to lose size I lost 1.5 inches off my waist and my BMI dropped 7+ points.
3. want to be stronger. I doubled my endurance and tripled my strength.
4. want to learn to be mentally tougher understanding my mind follows the body and my body follows my mind. As a result, always leading with the strongest of the two but always leading.
5. want to commit to making a change in your life my confidence dealing with people jumped to a whole new level.
6. want to learn how to become more self sufficient when working out I learned many concepts of working out that will enable me to continue to develop and grow when working out on my own.
7. want to learn what motivates you I like working out with music, I like a good challenge.
8. want to work out with other people that have a strange sense of challenge getting up at 4:30 every morning and sharing in getting our collective a_ _ handed to us.
9. want to redefine your self worth I am worthy
if you do!? Then my friend, step up and have fun!
