At our studio, we put your hands on drums and percussion instruments of various kinds and sizes to make joyful music. Our music director and instructor Baba Ken has more than three decades of experience in teaching African music and drumming. We provide our services to people of all skill levels — even professionals. We have school assemblies. We can teach private, big group, or small group classes. We can teach at your home, our studio, or any other place you choose. Travel adds expense to the hourly rate. We realize not everyone learns at the same pace; therefore, we invest a lot of time on each individual until they feel comfortable with a given lesson before attempting the next challenge. Learning to play the drums is like a baby's first attempt at crawling or walking: he or she falls down, gets up, and — with determination — finally learns the skill, feeling great pride in the accomplishment.
