LA Flight Center offers flight training in 21st century aircraft with both fully digital cockpit displays and the traditional round gauges.

We also are the only flight school in the area that offers training in the Light Sport class of aircraft. Come by and be introduced to the initial training to get your pilot certificate, or step up your proficiency or currency by flying the newest rental and training aircraft in the San Gabriel Valley.

In addition to flight training, LA Flight Center provides charter flights in a Citation Mustang Jet. Las Vegas is only 45 minutes away in the only jet based in the San Gabriel Valley. Or if you want something different, going to places like Napa Valley for that weekend getaway, it can easily be reached in 90 minutes.

For a special time or that last-minute business meeting, we'll get you there in the comfort and privacy of you own jet without having to deal with the usual TSA discomforts you experience at LAX, Burbank or Ontario.

Give us a call, or come by to see how general aviation has changed in the past few years and how you can be a part of it all.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for a flight school and instructor that offers the service you deserve. Rather than flying 30 to 40 year old trainers, pay the little extra money to get newer aircraft with less maintenance issues and therefore more availability to match your schedule.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Find an instructor and flight school that works to make you a good pilot and not just someone who can pass the checkride. In the same amount of time, the finer points of being a good pilot can be taught by instructors who communicate their abilities with passion and not just someone who is building time as an instructor to move on to another job.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask an instructor how long it takes to get your pilot certificate. A good instructor will convey the fact that everyone is different. There are averages of course, but a good instructor is going to adapt his teaching to accommodate your learning style and availability to fly.
