- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always wanted to teach art but strayed from my path and became involved in computer work. When my daughter was very young I painted her when we went to kid's events and it blossomed from there as others asked to be painted also....which led to doing parties and public events.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most people like to book 2 hours of face painting along with a separate balloon twister. That way the kids can get balloons, which are quick, while they are waiting for face painting.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have a repeat customer, Dawn, who came by last Friday night to get a neon face and upper body design for a black light party. Most artists just blob the paint on in random shapes because the neon paint is difficult to work with, but Dawn wanted a piece based on African designs and I came up with something spur of the moment that was absolutely awesome... and I know she was the hit of the party.
