Introduction: The Bread Project is a California non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. Our mission is to empower individuals with limited resources on their path to self-sufficiency through on-the-job training in our social enterprises and assistance for employment in the food industry. We train adults to take on careers in the food industry such as prep cooks, catering assistant, baker's assistant, packager, sandwich maker, etc.
