Jackie from J'Ellis faces is the best you can get for your wedding hair and makeup.
When I went for my trial session with Jackie, I hadn't signed a contract yet but I knew I had found exactly who I was looking for. She's talented and kind, and knows how to deal with a stressed bride. Thank goodness I signed early enough to secure her services! She does airbrushed makeup, too!
On the day of the wedding, Jackie worked for *eight hours* on my bridal party and myself. She arrived exactly on time, set up, and got right to work. By the time she got to me, she must have been exhausted! However, that didn't stop her from making me the most beautiful I have ever been. Though I was lost in thought, excited, and nervous, the moment I looked in the mirror I was totally stunned.
I can't count the number of compliments I received on my hair and makeup that day. I felt so beautiful, and it's all because of Jackie. She was patient with me, and she made me feel cared for.
Jackie is creative and she's very talented. She will create the look you're going for, and then take it to the next level. Her prices are great, and she's absolutely worth the money. Don't settle for someone else when you can have the best.

A. I work 98% of the time with brides, and the other 2% are usually attendees of other formal or special events, and even photo shoots. I love doing all of them, but I find that being in San Diego there is a flourishing wedding industry to take advantage of and I love working with not only the brides, but her family and the other vendors that are involved. It's a great way to market myself, network, and create bonds with my clients.
A. It is important to know that the person who you hire for your hair and makeup has experience, and has a thorough portfolio that exemplifies the look and style you want, but it is often misunderstood that a makeup artist does not need to be certified in order to do makeup professionally. There are hundreds of makeup artists including Bobbi Brown, Mario Dediavonic (Kim Kardashian's mua), and Mary Erickson, that never received professional training. Even thought I am not a licesenced cosmetologist, I do have certifications from workshops and such that I have attended, besides, hands-on training is the best way to learn any trade, and I have 11 years of doing that.
A. Some of the most frequently asked questions are: 1) How does airbrush makeup differ than regular makeup? 2) How long have you been doing this? and 3) Do you work with a team?
The answers are: 1) The airbrush makeup that I use is oil-based, water-proof, sweat-proof, and organic! It will literally last you all day and night, doesn't look cakey at all, but still offers full coverage. 2) I have been doing makeup for 11 years, and hair for 4 of those years, which is when I started my own company. 3) I work indepently, but if there are a lot of people to do in a short period of time, I have an on-call team of artists that are always available.
A. I always knew that I wanted to do something in the beauty industry for as long as I could remember, but hair and makeup always stood out for me the most. When I was given a window of opportunity to take that leap of faith and start my career in hair and makeup, I took a huge jump and just did it! I couldn't be happier doing what I love to do, and my business continues to grow more and more each year.
A. I am very organized, and extremely patient. Even under pressure, or hectic environments, I always remain calm and never let the situation flow over into my work.
