Rock U now focuses on empowering many more students’ lives through music with the establishment Rock University Teacher’s Association (RUTA).

As an association consisting of caring instructors who have loads of professional experience as highly skilled performance and recording artists, we have a track record of providing some of the best quality private music instruction around. Also, we make use of our collective experience to provide other services such as performance and recording opportunities, as well as song, band, and artist development services.

Our instructors are a tight-knit group who also provide networking opportunities within our student base. The end result is that ensembles are formed and perform together at the student concerts. Bands are also formed and learn how to play together, how to promote their own shows, and so on.

The reason why our instruction is so effective is because we know how to:

1) help you define your musical goals, and
2) put together a lesson plan that will deliver results in a timely fashion

We look forward to helping you.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Independent Music Instructor

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for a good source for music private education you shouldlook for a proven market leader that has a strong screening process for their instructor's. The screening process should include reference checks, background checks, certification, and teaching competency assessment.

We also recommend looking for instruction that focuses on your need and wants, not the instructor's alone. You also want a good learning environment that will encourage the student to want to play and learn... this also applies to the student's practice place at home (should be free of distractions... ringing phones, loud animals, loud children, tv, etc.). You lead a busy life, so be sure to look for convenience and scheduling flexibility.

A key component of instruction that helps propel student learning is having the opportunity to perform live, especially in a group performance.

Lastly, you do not want to get stuck with an instructor you just arenot clicking with... and if you are like most people, you want to avoid hurting somebody's feeling it that situation.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. • We provide private music instruction for any instrument, any style, any level, any age, any time!
• Lessons at the comfort of your home or one of our many studios throughout the region.
• Performance opportunities every 4 months.
• Our caring and quality instructors go through a certification process.
• If you don’t like your instructor? Try a different one!
• Other services as well.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love to see and experience the excitement of our students fulfill their musical dreams.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Is my child too young for music lessons? Rock U's youngest student is 3.5 years old, so it really depends on the child. At this young age our instructors facilitate a music program aimed at exposing the young student to a variety of instruments, sounds, and rhythms... this allows the young student to fall in love with music and lead them to the instrument they are drawn to.
