- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a good source for music private education you shouldlook for a proven market leader that has a strong screening process for their instructor's. The screening process should include reference checks, background checks, certification, and teaching competency assessment. We also recommend looking for instruction that focuses on your need and wants, not the instructor's alone. You also want a good learning environment that will encourage the student to want to play and learn... this also applies to the student's practice place at home (should be free of distractions... ringing phones, loud animals, loud children, tv, etc.). You lead a busy life, so be sure to look for convenience and scheduling flexibility. A key component of instruction that helps propel student learning is having the opportunity to perform live, especially in a group performance. Lastly, you do not want to get stuck with an instructor you just arenot clicking with... and if you are like most people, you want to avoid hurting somebody's feeling it that situation.
