If you are looking at riding or having your child ride, I suggest you give them a try. The trainers at Blue Fox Farms are amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable, positive and most of all fun. The barn is clean, well kept and their horse's have the best of care. We have ridden at several barns over the years and this one is at the top of our list. We travel four hours to take lessons and show with this barn. My daughter love's it there and enjoys the time she spends with her trainer and her friends.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure that the horses are well cared for and that appropriate safety precautions are taken. The staff should be courteous and patient.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would want to know a few things like how were the horses prepared for lessons. They should be used regularly so that they are not wild for lessons. I would want to know how long the instructors had been riding or teaching and what their experience was.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been teaching? How long have the horses been used as lesson horses? What did the horses do before they were lesson horses?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are patient and well educated with an emphasis on learning to do things the right way without short cuts.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Helping people realize their riding goals and providing them the best instruction to obtain these goals.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Why do you do what you do... Because I love my job. I get to help people all day and work with horses.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Horse back riding isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life. The bond between horse and rider is life changing and helps you in so many other aspects of life. It teaches you the responsibility of caring for an animal and how to get what you want through positive re-enforcement.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. After being raised by a horse trainer I tried to do other things but realized that my true passion was in teaching and working with horses.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We host and attend clinics by leading professionals as well as attending certified instructional clinics endorsed by our national association.
