Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. There is no common job, some can't just do it all because they do not know how to, I have somewhere along the line done it all, still learning though, but I do most everything, from changing your hot water heater, hanging a new light fixture, to re doing your entire kitchen, bath, garage conversions...

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Sit down, Shut up, and let me do my work... lol.. Just kidding, trust is a hard thing to give to someone that is going to alter your real estate. Take your time to know me, let me earn that trust from my experience. To know me is to trust me. If I am considered you will get loyalty, professionalism, expedience, and the best quality work ever.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. They would not be secrets if I shared them now would they?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Pride in workmanship, everyone is in a hurry to get done and get paid, We take our time and get the job done to perfection. Why do something twice and for free the second time if you can just focus and get it done right the first time around?

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The ability to fix, create, beautify, and please someone that is incapable of doing what I have pain saked to learn how to do for the last 40 years.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much I charge? I try to first access the costs of materials and labor and present a very fair price. Quite often the job needs extra care and additional services from unforseables, so I tend to give them to the customer most of the time. I try always to be fair in price but never do I ever compromise my work beyond providing excellence in service.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have an encyclopedia of stories, every job has it's own personality and takes on a complete new dimension and transformation. When you are removing, and replacing, and reconditioning a project, not only the inanimate objects change, so do the people who own it, and will enjoy this transformation for time to come. That creates all kinds of wonderful feelings and stories to tell the grandkids someday.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That I am not some fly by night, off the freeway guy looking to make a quick buck, but a home owner in Sacramento for the last 25 years and I dare them to come look at my house that I have been creating in my image of perfection for 25 years. It is my solid business card, all my actions speak louder than words, come see for yourself.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. After college and a few years in Advertising I found I enjoyed fixing things more than sitting at a desk, so I slowly took the path of learning the trades by working for different outfits, like carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cement, roofing, glazing (windows), flooring, tile, granite, on and on and now 35 years experience under my belt, who would like to buy some of that?

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I rehabed half of a duplex, it is 3 bed one bath, kitchen, dinning, and garage converted to that 3rd bedroom. It came out imaculate, the owner was under budget and over welmed with how nice the granite counter tops on top of the new cabinets against the new appliances all looked. Bath room got entire overhall too. Everyone went home happy!

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. Why do Do It Youself'ers bother to ask for estimates when they have no inclanation of hireing anyone?
Ya'll think I just sit around all day with nothing to do except to answer you questions on how to so you can do it yourself? When you go to the doctor do you ask him whats wrong then go home and fix yourself? Your car? why your house???
