Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I offer gift certificates for private surf photo shoots - wives love to give them to husbands for birthdays, Father's Day, graduations, etc. When the surf is firing, I go to my favorite spots and shoot random surfers. They can view and purchase my photos directly from my website. I shoot events for a local newspaper and am also a skilled writer.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. I shoot a lot of charity surfing events for groups including Life Rolls On, Best Day Foundation, Urban Surf 4 Kids, etc. I also shoot landscapes and sunsets and submit my photos to many magazines and newspapers for publication. I shoot high school sports events, including dances, proms, surf teams, graduations, assemblies, etc.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure the photographer has top notch equipment and skills. Shooting is the fun part - make sure your photographer is also a skilled editor, proficient on the best editing software, such as Photoshop. A good surf photographer has to have extensive knowledge of waves and what they are likely to do next, so their 'timing' ensures getting the best shots.
