Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Just like building a house, you need a solid foundation. Basic obedience is the most common type of dog training but I always have to train the owner more than the dog.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When contacting a dog trainer get to know the trainer's philosophy and approach to training dogs.
The owner has as more responsibility of training the dog as the trainer has.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Teaching and witnessing the creation of a unique bond and relationship between the dog and owner where both change their behavior in order to obtain harmony.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Wow, my dog's behavior is great, I never thought we would get results in such a short time, how much do you charge to train my children?

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I took a dog training class and got hooked. I asked a master trainer if I could work with him and started training dogs in 1989. After working in the technology sector for over 38 years, I had enough! I was offered an early retirement package from HP an I took it. I wasn't ready to retire, I wanted to do something more with my life so I took a passion and turned it into a business.
