I am Rey Tostado, I have been trained in Japan and the US modalities for shiatsu massage, lomi lomi, and reflexology.
I have 18 years of practical experience overseas and state side.
Shiatsu was developed in Japan, and is a finger-pressure technique that utilizes traditional accupressure points along the body that enhances the proper flow of energy and restores balance. This allows the body to activate the self healing properties already present.
Lomi Lomi was fist used by Kahunas and Shamans of the Hawaiian islands for the purpose of deep tissue body work for warriors and royalty. The techniques includes broad flowing strokes using elbows and forearms for incresed pressure.
This allows the muscles to secrete the toxins into the bloodstream to be eliminated. This has a cleansing and healing effect. The cross-fiber and friction methods of this ancient healing art are critical in lymphatic drainage and stimulating circulation.
Reflexology is the application of pressure and friction to the legs and feet to bring about tonification of the body's organs and skeletal structure.
