Introduction: I am a young and vibrant music instructor who excels in many forms of music. Asides from working as a music professor of music in Merritt College, I also work as a piano content developer at Ubisoft for Rocksmith+ to teach piano to over a million users. UC Irvine B.A 13' UC Berkeley M.A. 15' Seattle Film Institute M.Mus. 16' I have been playing since I was 6, and I have around 20 students in Fremont. From students 4 years old to 79 years old, I teach them all. I am a certified ABRSM teacher, which has enabled my students to register for and pass the Certificate of Merit exam (it looks great for college applications.). I have a sense of humor, but I also have firm expectations of my students. I bring a lot to the table, which has come from a lot of experience and a broad base of knowledge. I get to see students giving me smiling faces after they pass my expectation. I also like to help students unconsciously develop interpersonal and independence where they are able to figure out and learn how to play songs by themselves professionally.

Collin taught piano to my 7 year old son for about 9-10 months, until he left the city for further studies. He is a very good piano teacher and works from the basics and gives very close attention to posture and technique so kids don't get unnecessarily tired and stay focused. Collin was always on time and my son learned so much from him! I would definitely recommend Collin for piano lessons.

My daughter took lessons with Collin for a year in Irvine. He showed up on time and knew what to ask to clarify any misunderstanding in the music. He had a minor in education and I could see that he gave clear instruction to help my daughter to play well. He loved to demonstrate a new song before he starts teaching in order to grab my daughter's interest in learning music. I wish he is in Irvine and continues giving lessons to my daughter.

Collin was a great teacher for our 10 year old daughter who was taking piano lessons for the first time. Collin was very patient and had a friendly way of providing feedback to our daughter to help her learn piano playing basics. It worked because our daughter has made a tremendous amount of progress under just one year of lessons with Collin.

Collin was an excellent teacher for my daughter who is 7 years old. He always arrived promptly on time and taught her piano very sincerely. He was friendly, but also had expectations wrt regular practice, proper posture etc. In the time she was learning from him, she learnt and played a lot more than I ever expected from her. Unfortunately, we had to move for work reasons, otherwise I would have continued with Collin as long as possible.

Collin taught piano to my kids, and was very sincere, passionate and dedicated to teaching them. He is focused and well organized at the lessons, and also planned a year end recital for all his students, which was a great experience for them.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $45 for half hour, $55 for 45 minutes, and $70 for 60 minutes. Discount: If you have multiple students and do 90 minutes, I charge $105.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do both going to my client's house to teach and teach at my home studio. I also can teach in Zoom as well.
