Introduction: I have a holistic approach to treatment of psychological distress. I work with a compassionate approach to the problems faced by clients rather than seeing their problems as punitive and stigmatising "disorders." My clinical knowledge is intervowen with spirituality and spiritual experiences and personal experiences of diversity. I encourage minimum dependence of prescription medication. I use dreams, art, literature, myths, music - all forms of creativity - to allow distress to be expressed and assimilated. Such expression and assimilation of painful memories into the fabric of our lives leads towards a meaning and purpose for existence, and allows for growth and self actualization. Through such methods, the saddest experiences of our lives are able to provide us with the gold of inner wisdom that leads to acceptance, peace and even joy. I am humbled by the transformative powers of the psyche and feel grateful to be part of their inner healing.
