A. My work is fun, natural, and depicts real moments in time... I want you to look back at your wedding photos in 30 years and feel like it was only yesterday that you got married.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I think my photography is a mix between photojournalistic and posed images with lots of color and laughing mixed in. I make it a point to take photos that portray the unique personalities of my clients and I seriously think the whole process should be fun and easy-going.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE WORKING AT A VENUE YOU HAVEN'T SHOT AT BEFORE?
While it's definitely fun to shoot on familiar ground, I absolutely love a change of scenery. New places keep me on my toes and force me to stay creative and unique.

WILL YOU POSE US AND GIVE US DIRECTION?
Absolutely! I know that you and your fiancé aren't used to being in front of the camera all day so I will tell you where and how to pose... but it's what you do within that pose that will make your photos special. If you're nervous and feel like laughing, perfect! Laughing always makes a great photo. Do you feel serious and just want to look at each other? That's great too. Let your personality come through, that's what these photos are all about!

WHAT DO YOUR WEDDING COLLECTIONS INCLUDE?
Each collection includes a second photographer so no moment is missed, a disc of images that you may use as you please, and an engagement session so we can get to know one another photographically.

I'M ON A BUDGET... CAN YOU CUSTOMIZE A COLLECTION?
I understand how tough it is to make a whole wedding fit into a budget. While my starting price has to stay firmly where it is, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make your wedding photography more affordable (like a gift registry!). Give me a call or email me and we can chat about it.

DO YOU OFFER PHOTO BOOTHS?
Yes! And they're my favorite! It's not quite a booth... it's basically me, my camera, a light stand, a backdrop. Ask me for details :)

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TAKE?
Every event is different, but I will personally shoot anywhere from 1000-2000 images... and my assistant will likely shoot the same. However, you will see about 700-900.

DO YOU EDIT EVERY PHOTO?
Every single photo you see will be 'proofed' meaning the image is color corrected, sharpened, etc. Full edits like skin touch-ups and custom toning are done to images ordered for print or albums.

CAN I GIVE YOU A SHOT LIST?
I will happily accept a who's who list so that I know which guests are VIPs, but I honestly can't guarantee images. Weddings are jam packed with unpredictable action and, while I promise to do my best and get all the shots you want, I can't possibly promise exact photos. What I can promise you is that I will keep my eyes open and photograph every special moment I see.

CAN I SEE A SAMPLE WEDDING?
Absolutely! Check my website for my most recent work or email me for a link to an online slideshow.

WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?
I know you'll want to see your photos right away so I'll be sure to give you a little preview on my blog within 2 weeks of the big day. An online proof site of all the images will be live within 3 weeks of the wedding.

DO YOU SELL THE COPYRIGHT?
The copyright isn't actually necessary for you to use/print the images from your disc. I'll include a permission letter stating you have full rights to print your photos at the lab of your choice. I'll retain the actual copyright in order to use the images on my website and for product samples.

ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL? IF SO, WHAT IS YOUR FEE?
Absolutely! I love traveling and working in new places. As for my travel fee... honestly? I don't know. It depends on where I'm going, how long I'll be gone, and all kinds of other stuff. Let's chat about it...

DO I GET TO CHOOSE MY OWN IMAGES FOR MY ALBUM?
Of course! After all, it's YOUR album. After you see all your images I'll let you know how many
'must have' photos to choose. Once I get started on the design I may add a few more photos to better tell your wedding story and then submit a rough draft for you to approve.

WHAT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
I'm a Canon girl. My main camera is a 5D Mark II and my backup camera is a 5D.

SOLD! HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
Whoohoo! There are just a few boring things to take care of:
The contract needs to be filled out and signed by both you and your fiancée, and then by me. A $500 retainer is due to save your date.

WHAT PAMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, check, and credit cards via paypal (an additional charge may apply for paypal)

ANY ADVICE ON THE TIMING OF THE WEDDING?
Definitely! I'd be happy to put my 2 cents in if you ask.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON DOING A 'FIRST LOOK?'
I think they are the best... ever. Sure, seeing each other before the ceremony isn't the most traditional approach, but here are two of the biggest perks:
1. The first time you see each other will still be an amazing, ceremonious moment... the bride will walk up behind the groom tap him on the shoulder. He'll turn around to see his bride... and then you get to hug and kiss and enjoy each other's company.
2. You'll get all your photos done before the wedding... even the wedding party and family if we plan it right. Then... wait for it... you'll get to enjoy your own cocktail hour and spend more time with your guests!
3. Lots of photos! Since we don't have to squeeze all the photos into cocktail hour we can take our time and get a lot more shots.
