Julie is the best with our spoiled dogs. We recently added a new puppy and Julie is the only one we will trust with her. If it weren't for Julie we wouldn't go on vacation or take weekend trips. Julie is also very responsible with other household tasks, such as mail, cleaning linens after her stay, and watering plants, all without being asked to do so. We love Julie and highly recommend her. She's become part of our family. She's been with us for approximately 3.5 years.

Julie is a thoughtful and caring person who keeps the best interest of her clients in mind at all times. She is trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. I trust her with my three dogs and would not have it any other way!

My cats were very well taken care of, and I have no problem at all with that. She was genuinely interested in them, their personalities and their welfare. Even my very shy ex-feral let her picture be taken to be sent to me without freaking out, and that is phenomenal. My problems with Purr-fection was in some of the contract terms. Julie wanted multiple copies of my house keys which I would have to pay a not-insubstantial fee to get back afterwards. It felt like ransom. Also, there was a clause in the contract that I could not have in-house video security running during the cat-sitting. I don't have it and never even considered it, but it made me wonder why this was necessary. I have limited experience with pet sittings services -- maybe these are standard practices but they made me uncomfortable. As I said, the service itself was great. The problems were in some contract expectations.

Dear Arlene, Thank you for reviewing my service on Thumbtack. I am happy to hear that you were pleased in the way I cared for your cats, getting to know them and their personalities, etc. I'm also glad you enjoyed the pictures I sent you. Making sure the pets are well cared for is my number one priority but I also care a great deal about the relationship with the pet's parents too! I understand that you are upset with some of the terms of my Service Agreement and I want to take this opportunity to address your concerns. The reason I asked for two copies of your key was in case there happened to be an emergency with me, my back-up sitter (my husband) could easily take over the service and make the visits so that your cats would be taken care of in their normal routine. I'm sorry if I failed to make that part clear during our meet & greet. I understand your hesitation in making a key for me, especially since you choose not to lock your doors. As a pet sitter, walking into an unlocked home is very risky and something I am just not willing to do. I understand your frustration in my insistence of making me a key, which by the way, didn't work and you had to run back again to get a new one while trying to get ready for your trip. As for the key fee charge, I did not charge you because you were already home and I handed the key back to you personally. Most of my customers prefer I keep their keys on file for future bookings but if they request I return it, I do so promptly and without charge the first time or two. If it becomes an ongoing occurance, dropping off and picking up keys, then I may need to charge a fee to cover my time and gas expense. I would NEVER want to keep a key against my customer's wishes. The clause in the contract about video monitoring and security is there because I offer a lot of overnight stays in my customer's homes and I want to feel comfortable with my privacy during dressing, sleeping, showering, etc. I would like to clarify that I never said that you could not have that ype of montoring, but rather, that I would like to be aware of it for my own privacy, safety and security. This is what the clause says: Video Monitoring: I agree to notify PPC if premises is monitored by video camera. This notification is to protect the privacy of PPC as well as to maintain a mutual relationship of trust. Initial here___. After much thought, I have decided that asking about video monitoring is not relevant for daily visits so I have removed it except for overnight stays. Thank you for your feedback!

Julie is amazing! She watched after our three cats for two weeks while we were in Europe. She kept them in a large room in her beautiful, clean home. She gave us daily updates with pictures and videos. One of my cats became sick the day after I dropped them off. She noticed his odd behavior immediately and took him straight to the vet. My cat ended up needing multiple tests and a small procedure performed. Julie took him to all of the vet visits and made sure he was loved and calm. She took all of the necessary precautions and me feel a lot more at ease. I will absolutely be going back to her in the future!
