A. Most common are residential--main living spaces such as living rooms, dining rooms, family rooms and master suites. I also offer commercial and office design services, as well as kitchen and bath remodel consulting.
A. Be sure you give your designer as much information about your style, taste, likes and dislikes as possible... including the requirements for function. This will give you the assurance that the designer has everything they need to give you the room of your dreams!
A. I create a custom style for each unique client, based on their taste and lifestyle. No two projects are ever the same.
A. Improving the client's quality of life and providing him or her with a sanctuary that espresses their individual esthetic.
A. Do you charge flat design fees, or do you bill hourly? I customarily charge flat design fees. This is beneficial for both the client and the designer. The client is able to budget for the design fees up front, before the project even begins. This eliminates any unpleasant surprises or unexpected exhorbitant costs for services.
A. It is important to produce a fully designed space, within the determined budget, rather than just presenting a few pricey furnishings that only slightly improve the space. It is satisfying to compose a finished product that is furnished with a mix of high/medium and low priced items. I recommend the items that are smart to extend the budget on, which will ensure longevity and elevate the lower end, or less costly pieces that will be incorporated... creating an overall 'high-end' designer look for the entire project.
