Client feedback about Carol!
Carol was an absolute pleasure to work with. She's exceptionally responsive, accommodating, courteous, and thorough in answering any query, and was all I'd anticipated in a harpist for my wedding. I'd certainly recommend her to friends! - Ses K, wedding, Malibu, CA
Carol was on time, extremely professional and added a special class to our wedding ceremony. A lot of our guests shared how lovely the music was, and I'd recommend her to anyone. - Nancy B, wedding, Beverly Hills, CA
Everything was perfect! Carol was professional, on time, and performed a beautiful performance. The guests were truly fascinated and cherished also talking with Carol about her talent. She's a very pretty woman, inside and out, with an otherworldly quality that extends itself well to playing the harp! I highly suggest Carol Tatum for your affair, too. - Jillian C, anniversary, Westminster, CA
I was very happy with Carol! She came on time, as she confirmed she would, and was very sweet. She played the harp akin to an angel. I got very great compliments about her, as well as the way she played the harp set the mood just right. I could not have asked for anything more. She assisted in making my event a wonderful night to remember. Thanks again Carol. - Valerie M, anniversary, Long Beach, CA
A. In hiring a harpist, make sure they have adequate amplification and KNOW HOW TO RUN THEIR AMP. Many times, a client will hire a harpist and sometimes without amplification, the music will not be heard as the natural volume of the harp tends to be low. If the harpist cannot be heard, it's a waste of your money!
A. Not all harpists are created equally. Many times, amateur harpist cannot be differentiated from professional harpists. Be sure to obtain the harpist's biography and form contract before hiring them. I've seen a harpist's lack of experience impact a wedding ceremony - it was not a pretty site!
A. 1) How long have you been playing harp PROFESSIONALLY?; 2) Are you a full-time harpist or have another job?
A. I was honored to be a part of the PBS special "Beyond Celtic" featuring Irish tenor Michael Londra, filmed for PBS to air in August, 2011. I played harp and percussion for the show, which was a wonderful experience!
