I provide full/partial service to all types of events -privet parties at client homes, corporate events, lunches,dinners, wedding bar mitzvahs and more. I have a large menu selection and many unique dishes. Oz Catering gives exceptional service to the greater Bay Area. Sign your contract with Idit ASAP so as not to lose out on her tasty treat for your event! Right off the top, Idit is the most friendly, thorough, and reasonable caterer! When I was planning my August '13 wedding, I didn't have much time and wasn't interested in "shopping" around. A friend had been to a few Bar/Bat Mitzvahs catered by Idit and gave me her name. After a reading a few of her Yelp reviews, I immediately gave her a call. She warmly invited us over to her home to go over menu planning and pricing. Once we made our decision to go with Oz Catering, and from that point forward, Idit was prompt to reply to any questions, changes, or suggestions I had within 24-hours if not sooner. Idit listened to (and respected) our budget and worked her magic!!! She has such a vast offering of menu items and cuisine fare, and is happy to make adjustments and substitutions as needed. We were looking to have "heavy apps" as our meal, meaning no formal sit-down, and she knew just what we meant. The tasting at her home was mouthwatering good, and she was so generous to allow me to bring my mother and my sister, who is the "foodie" in the family! (Needless to say my father and fiancé were disappointed to have missed it.) When Idit tells you that no one leaves her events hungry, she's CORRECT!!! Trust her every step of the way. In fact, several guests left with to-go containers that she provided! As the bride, I sadly didn't take the time to sample all that I had hoped to eat that day...(Note: If you're hiring Idit for your wedding, make sure to find or assign someone to bring you food throughout your reception!) Aesthetically, her tables and bars were beautiful, this much I remember, and honestly SO MANY of our guests reported (during and in the days/weeks after) how fabulous the food and catering staff were!!! Her displays are inviting and accessible, and the variety of serving pieces are lovely. She will work with you on any themes and "looks" you're going for. Idit even took a considerable amount of time to find and purchase (at her own expense since she could keep them for later use) bamboo bowls for one of our noodle dishes. The staff was exceptionally professional and rumor has it one of her bartenders is the inventor of the Cosmo drink! Many of our guests, upon talking with him, were in awe that we had a beverage celeb in attendance! Our reception took place at a friend's private residence, and that night, the homeowner phoned my parents to say that in all of her years of throwing events with hired caterers, Idit and her staff were the most friendly and took such wonderful care in her kitchen. In fact, she said they left it cleaner than when they arrived. Idit and I have kept in touch in the months following my reception and even met for coffee a few times before my husband and I moved out of state. She gave us Oz Catering coffee tumblers the day before we left for our honeymoon cruise. There we sat on our balcony overlooking Alaska's glaciers sipping hot coffee for hours thanks to Idit!

We hired Oz Catering for our daughter's garden reception in August. After discussing our budget, Idit suggested some wonderful choices, and we had a tasting about two months before the party. We chose three stations with three passed hors d-oeuvres. One station was an Asian station, one was a cheese and crudite station and one was a tagine station with both a vegetarian choice and a lamb tagine. The food was beautifully displayed in my friend's beautiful garden! The food was so very plentiful and I need not have worried at all!!!!! Our guests (in the 150 range) absolutely raved about the food. Idit's staff was so lovely and we could not have been more pleased with the set up, clean-up and everything in between!!! Thank you Idit, for an affair to remember!

My suggestions, is that a client that is looking for a caterer, will provide as many details possible, in order to receive an accurate quote for their event. I am happy to help with rentals, and have a list of vendors I recommend to my clients for their event.
