Ashlee Young had her first piano lesson at the age of 4 and pursued it throughout her childhood. She has been an active performer, appearing in many recitals, festivals and competitions, bringing home various awards both locally and internationally.
Apart from performing, Ashlee also loves teaching. She started it at the age of 12 and officially turned it into a business when she turned 18.
Teaching allowed me to work a little less so that I could focus on my own practicing and studying. When I finished my master's degree, I knew I wanted to teach more students, and that's when I came up with the name "Young Musicians Studio".
I have clients who are as young as 3 up through retired adults who are coming back to music after years without it. I think it is important to first provide them with fun and interesting lessons so that their love and appreciation for music can grow, no matter what their age, skill level, or practice habits are.
Ashlee likewise plans performance opportunities and other things for all of the students that will help advance their music education. Her most favourite are always the Young Musician Studio recitals. No one can teach music better than someone who has your best interests at heart!
