Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. If the IRS has sent your employer an intent to levy your wages, you have less than 30 days to resolve the issue with the IRS before they start to take an un-disclosed amount out of your wages. The same holds true if the IRS sends you a registered letter with the words "Intent to Levy" If the wage garnishment or IRS letters are due to unfiled tax returns, we can help you. It is only a matter of preparing and filing your tax returns, in order to request an Installment Agreement with the IRS.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. We can stop wage garnishments and bank levies from the IRS or Franchise Tax Board, if due to unfiled tax returns. You MUST file the return and it is best that the return is done correctly. This is the only way the IRS or the FTB will entertain the idea of giving you an Installment Agreement. The state wants that all monthly payments be paid through your personal savings or checking account. The IRS allows taxpayers to pay online or to send a check or money order when using an Installment Agreement.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money to pull the IRS or the FTB off of you. If your tax problem stems from unfiled tax returns, it is only a matter of filing the returns in order to "tame" both the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board. If you are seeking an Offer in Compromise, that is a different story and you will need our Enrolled Agent to review your case. The cost is much greater. However, for unfiled tax returns, we can help you, usually, within 3 business days. Lost W2s or 1099s? No problem. We contact the IRS or Franchise Tax Board and obtain the information for you.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. They should know for which years they need to file taxes for. They also should have a best guest estimate for any expenses for that year. Even if the IRS or Franchise Tax Board (California) prepared a substitute return for you, filing your own tax return is the only way to get the tax liability reduced, or in some cases, eliminated.
