Education is huge! Inquire about their training as well as continuing education. You can tell if your haircut is going to last if your stylist got their initial training at a technical school. And if they're keeping up with their education, they'll be able to keep you up to date and informed on the latest trends in hair rather then doing the same 3 haircuts over and over again... Short, medium and long. They might be safe, but booooring! There's no longevity in stylist "stuck in a rut."
