My philosophy in designing a kitchen is right in with the old adage "form follows function". Each kitchen I design must be practical. Yes, the aesthetics are significant; however, the function is what you use everyday.
I begin designing a kitchen through asking a series of questions. I have to know what can or cannot be done. Does the budget allow finding more space? What space do we have to work with? Can we take a wall down, or is there room available outside the footprint of the house? Once we have determined the space we have to work with, we then go to the kitchen's look.
