Ryan is an excellent coach and a great guy. Before I went to Ryan, I was hitting a few great shots per round, surrounded by a bunch of mediocre and terrible shots. After Ryan worked on my swing, I became much more consistent. Instead of picking out minor flaws or making suggestions that are impossible to apply in real life or just don't mean much (such as "let your hips move more" or "stay relaxed"), Ryan focused on big-picture mechanics. In addition, he suggested exercises to help ingrain those mechanics. I'm a better golfer today because of Ryan's help.

A. Make sure you can find a place to work on your swing, that has technologies to give you feed back. Also make sure you like the person you are going to work with.
A. Always find out what the instructor's teaching philosophy is. Make sure you like what you are going to work on, and understand why.
A. Ask the golf instructor about how they themselves play the game. You want to have a instructor who is a good player.
