Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

I keep things real and get the best out of people. I don't do a lot of poseing. I let people be themselves, get caught up in the moment and I get that on camera.

What do you like most about your job?

I love working with people on the day of the wedding. I know most people think "stress" but it's not. The wedding day is full of happiness that literally radiates from the bride and groom. That joy rubs off on everyone and comes through the pictures as well.

If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

It's not an expensive camera that takes good pictures. It is a person with the right knowlege, a knack with people, and the gift of a good "eye". Anyone can take a picture but only photographers make the time and the effort to get the perfect picture.

What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

Most people ask me why I became a photographer. I became a photographer because I love getting that shot that makes people say "Oh, wow!" I could take 1,000 good pictures, get 100 great pictures out of those and if I only get one "oh, wow!" it makes it all worth it!

Do you have a favorite story from your work?

Hmmm... I did a wedding on my birthday once and the bridal party sang Happy Birthday to me. It's their special day and I still got a birthday song. How cool is that?!
