The Doghouse

Introduction: The Doghouse is Lathrop's premier dog care facility located at 3221 Yosemite Avenue. Dog owners and their canine companions will have access to top-quality professional boarding, day care, grooming and a cozy retail shop. Special features include bone-shaped lawns for the large, medium and small dog outdoor play yards, whereas indoor play yards are climate controlled and equipped with special rubber matting for your best friend to frolic with other dogs, all within a professionally supervised setting. Boarders will also be allowed to socialize with the daycare canine clients for a full day of fun and play in addition to a quiet, comfy place to sleep through the night. The all-indoor boarding section will host 60 dogs in a climate controlled, 24-hour-alarm-monitored area. Purchase and pack a supply of your pet's medications and special food or treats, if any, ahead of time. The Doghouse provides Natural Balance Original Ultra at no extra charge if you prefer. You may also want to pack a familiar toy for your dog's stay, but don't bring his favorite in case of possible loss. Temperament testing and up-to-date vaccinations (including parvo and rabies) are required for boarding and daycare. Bordatella must be up to date within six months. You must ask this of your vet. This will ensure a safe playful atmosphere for all dogs and concerned dog owners especially commuters wanting to utilize the doggie day care. At the end of the long work day, owners will be relieved to find their usually hyper, or worse yet, bored, destructive pups tuckered out from the day's activities. We carry top-of-the-line dog food and training supplies. If you need something we don't have, ask us. We can probably get it. Gifts for dog lovers will also be available in the retail shop as well as making it possible for customers to purchase the same type of equipment used throughout the facility such as crates, bedding and toys. Aunty's Grooming and Self Wash is located within the facility, along with scheduled training classes, making us a one-stop shop for your canine needs. We have a very convenient location for those heading to Reno, Tahoe, Yosemite and southern California. Hours are Monday-Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Remember: It is never too early to make vacation reservations!
