FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
From the moment of initial contact, I email you off a contract with EVERYTHING that I know your going to need for a complete reception (regarding food and rentals except for tables and chairs) If I owned them, well I would give them to my brides as well. I know for me, I am not a fan of the nickel and dime approach. People like bottom lines, final numbers, not hearing *well we can add that later* or *sure you can have that, lets just add it on*. Those great low prices don't seem to come out so great when your done. I found this to be very discouraging to do to my clients much less have it done to myself so I decided to give package deals. I do my best to work with budgets, Sometimes that is not so easy to do. There is a lot of expense in catering, expenses that are just not realized unless this is your profession. To go over those details would just be too boring to talk about, but my point is, if I can't work with your budget with everything that I provide, including full staff, it's not because I don't want to, it's simply because I just can't make the numbers make sense. If you are on a budget, I will try to cater your event for your budget, but anything less than our quote is a steal as our quotes are designed for a modest return. Anyone who has had us cater for them will tell you this is the truth. I will do whatever it takes to give you an amazing experience, If you want elegance and wonderful tasting food with impeccable service, then you want me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend the MBA in Las Vegas every year to stay up with all of the new trends. I also hold an extensive training course for my entire staff which is mandatory to be able to give my clients a wonderful experience. I am told at every event that i cater *my goodness i have never seen staff like yours, their uniforms fit them perfectly and their manners are impeccable what a treat* I carry a team that loves to cater events, if they do not, then they have no place with Diamond Cut Catering. we are a very special diverse group that add all of our ideas and personalities to make us as good as we are.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been catering for over 30 yrs with my mother's catering company. I began catering events on my own within her company to see if that was what I really truly wanted to do. Well not only did I find that catering was what I wanted to do and that I have a tremendous passion for cooking, but I was given the god given gift to cook and I wanted to change everything that we had been doing for years. Most of our clients were political events and fund raiser's, but I wanted to reach out to brides, I just knew that weddings would be more challenging and I just love the decor that comes with weddings and the excitement. Well needless to say there couldn't be two bosses with different ideas so I went out on my own to do things my way with my own ideas. Well my passion is weddings. I love my weddings, my bride's mean everything to me, I love helping them make their dream wedding come true. I love everything from the decorations to the food, and the set up. The most exciting and relaxing time for me is when I do a tasting with my clients. Before we meet, we have all of the numbers discussed, there are no added surprises by me which makes my clients feel comfortable, they already know when I arrive that it's just a matter of liking my food and their is absolutely no pressure. Basically the tasting is for us to meet more than anything.
