LBTechGuy is a personal computer and technology concierge service company. I provide not just computer diagnostics and repairs but also technical assistance with the many gadgets that are important to our lives which many people do not have time to figure out or personalize themselves.

For residential home users, I offer an affordable alternative to other onsite tech support companies. My normal hourly rate for general tech support is $40 per hour. For virus removal I even offer a discounted special rate of $30 per hour since the scans can take time to thoroughly clean a computer. For small businesses, I offer professional service at an affordable rate. My normal hourly rate for business support is $60 per hour. I support workstation, server, and other network devices. For a price list of my offered services, check my website's home users section.

I offer free diagnostics upon request.

Primarily, I support my clients on-site with an optional remote support for established clients.

I am a CompTIA A+ certified technician and continuously improving my knowledge base.

    I had a corrupt OS on my work computer; Randy asked a lot of questions over the phone and then, even though he was busy on other jobs, found a way to get to my office that same day. He explained what the problem was, what it would take to fix it, and kept me up to date throughout the process. He even recommended and made some upgrades to my software, and made sure everything was up to date and better than it was before. He even saved all my old files! Super nice guy, and took great care of me. Highly recommended.

    Did LBTechGuy do a good job? Absolutely! LBTechGuy did a great job! I hired LBTechGuy to repair my computer that was freezing at almost every turn. When I tried opening a browser, it took forever, if it opened at all. If I tried using software, it ran very slow, working intermittently, making getting anything done almost impossible. After he repaired my computer, it ran like I hadnít seen it run in a very long time, as intendedÖproficient and fast! He is professional and friendly and also went beyond the call of duty in a number of ways! He explained things to help me keep my computer running efficiently, exposed computer download scams I had fallen privy to, and even helped me save money I was unwittingly wasting. (I donít want to set you up, LBTechGuy) But after all of that, he even gave me a substantial break on my bill! I would, without any trepidation, highly recommend LBTechGuy!

A. The top 5 most frequent types of jobs I perform are:
1) Windows OS diagnostics and repair.
2) Malware removal.
3) Data backup and transfer.
4) Network configuration.

A. Some recent work includes configuring a home network with 4 wireless hotspots, downgrading business workstations from Windows 8 to Windows 7, and removing highly embedded rootkit malware.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It's important to know the technician's experience and work ethic. Some computer repair technicians will attempt to tack on unnecessary work to prolong the work and gather more fees. Sometimes the best and most cost effective option for some computers is to save important personal data and replace the machine.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I am a 15 year industry veteran who has a lot of experience with a wide variety of problems. I am still learning things every day. Technicians often will research problems online with Google for the best repair tactics for tricky issues.

A. Get as much information about their rates as possible. Ask for free diagnostics if available. Ask if they have any certifications.
