Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure that the Notary you hire has experience in the type of documents that you need to have notarized.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The State of California has their own notarial verbiage/language on Jurats and Acknowledgments. If this verbiage is not written exactly as regulated by the State of CA, a notary must attach a loose certificate Jurat or Acknowlegment with the correct language.

Jurat must read:

Subscribed to and sworn to (or affirmed) before me on this ___day of ____________, 2011
by ________________________________________,
proved to me on the basis of satisfactory evidence to be the person(s) who appeared before me.

Acknowledgment must read:

On ___________________________________ before me _________________, NOTARY PUBLIC Personally appeared, _____________________________, who proved to me on the basis of satisfactory evidence to be the persons(s) whose name(s) is/are subscribed to the within instrument and acknowledged to me that he/she/they executed the same in his/her/their authorized capacity(ies), and that by his/her/their signatures(s) on the instrument the person(s), or the entity upon behalf of which the person(s) acted, executed the instrument.

I Certify under PENALTY OF PERJURY, under the laws of the State of California that the foregoing paragraph is true and correct.

WITNESS my hand and official seal.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Is the Notary familiar with the type of document that needs to be notarized?

What is the fee to notarize a document?

What if any other fees are involved?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do they have a proper, current State required Identification or passport to show proof of identity.

Do they understand fully the document to be notarized
