Introduction: Hi! I'm Emily, and I absolutely love what I do. I help people surprise themselves with what they can accomplish. The body is capable of amazing feats, and anything is possible if you train for it. My philosophy is simple: if the process of getting in shape gives you joy, you'll never quit. My workout design is as fun as it is challenging. I believe in instinctive eating instead of dieting, and that you should always feel better after a workout than you do when you start. I educate my clients about how their bodies work, so they can do the things they love to do better and without injury. I have worked with a wide variety of clients (ages 15 to 85) for weight loss, nutrition, sports performance, injury rehab, and prenatal and postpartum fitness. In addition to personal training, I teach outdoor fitness boot camps that take a "recess" approach: we create games and other fun activities, so that our members enjoy the process of getting in shape as much as the end result. I have mentored other trainers to develop their craft, and now lead a team of stellar fitness professionals. My team and I were chosen to be off-camera trainers for the new ABC reality series, "The Revolution" (premiers Jan 2012 and Starring Ty Pennington, Tim Gunn and Harley Pasternak), and our clients were among the most successful participants to date.
