Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When hiring someone to look after your animals experience matters! Be sure to ask your prospective pet sitter about the people who work there, how they are screened and what kind of background they have with animals. A few questions like these can make the difference between hiring a seasoned pro versus a transient college kid.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The golden rules of pet care?
Think of every animal as if it were your own.
When you are actually in the home providing care for an animal there is nothing else that is more important.
There is nothing more fun or rewarding than caring for animals but it's still work and as with all jobs it's important to take time off to stay fresh and focused.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Do you own pets?
Why are you a pet sitter/dog walker?
How do you screen potential staff members?
Can you provide references?
How long have you been in business?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. It is important that potential clients understand that we are an in-home service provider. Our pet sitting, dog walking, dog training and overnight care services are all provided in the client's home. We do not operate a kennel.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. The Alpha family is a professional team of experts with backgrounds in areas such as animal and child care, veterinary medicine, pet nutrition and canine behavior. Other providers either work alone with no backup or hire inexperienced staff.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Duh. It's the animals! There is nothing quite like working in a profession where your 'customers' are always ecstatic to see you.

A. Actually our pricing is very simple. We charge one flat fee for each visit.
