When my 16 year old daughter saw them for the first time, her eyes teared up. We are mesmerized by them. I have studied them everyday since installation and absolutely love the lines and flow of the artwork. They are far more interesting and artistic than the original photo that inspired the project. It perfectly fits my family's taste and love for nature without overdoing the nature aspect. Not only do I love and appreciate the artistic aspect of the rails, but I love the quality of the workmanship. That is all thanks to Toby. We are very grateful for this treasure in our home and to you for your exquisite work." Teri Schmidt

Skip at Terminal Iron Works was a fantastic resource in helping me with my project. Upon seeing what I required he checked with a few of his suppliers and came back with what ended up being a very reasonable bid. Once we agreed to everything, he quickly turned the piece around (I had it in my possession the next day!) and it was exactly what I had envisioned. I strongly recommend going through Skip for any of your needs. Within minutes of talking to him you’ll realize he’s passionate about ensuring you get exactly what you want/need at an affordable price.

Worked with Terminal Iron Works on creating a set of custom legs for my dining room table. Skip was awesome! He finished the project in a mere 3 days. Far sooner than I had expected. Additionally, he was kind, reasonably priced and worked with me to make sure he understood exactly what I had in mind. The finished product turned out great. Would not hesitate to recommend Terminal Iron Works to anyone! Thanks Thumbtack, and more importantly....thank you Skip!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The client normally has a concept / shape / theme they wish to explore and the correct application of materials and finish should be discussed for the longevity of the work. The common wisdom of You get what you pay for also equates the highest cost with the best product does not hold true. Ask questions such as will the welds be viable, how will the finished work be treated before primer, what type of primer will be utilized and how many coats? What type of finish will be applied? Powder Coated, painted our a traditional hand finish. Ask for samples. We normally produce full scale drawling and place said to the area were the finished work will live. We allow the client to explore the concept and make changes to the sketch then once accepted we use this full size sketch / drawling as our template. Ask if there is any form of grantees on the actual work and paint?
