Introduction: I am currently a senior studying Civil Engineering at USC. I would prefer to tutor prealgebra, Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus. I have studied and excelled in all of these subjects as well as many more advanced math classes. The more advanced math classes have given me a broader understanding of math, and engineering has taught me the very practical and useful applications of math. I really enjoy the challenge and rewards of tutoring. Analyzing and taking into consideration each student's learning style, I encourage my students to think for themselves and to understand the logic of math. This way, they will be able to use it effectively, remember it, and be able to understand future concepts with much more ease. I also provide my students with test taking skills. This summer, I had the pleasure of tutoring a boy with ADHD. He was failing his Algebra 2 course, but within about a 3-week period of several sessions of my tutoring, he was able to get a B+ on his final and pass the class!
