Residential Design

Maison Orion, a multi-faceted design studio, is located in Los Angeles, California. While primarily engaged in building structure designs, we rather focus on questions of life and whatever qualities make for a graceful and uplifting habitat for human beings.

We explore architecture from the traditional roots -- commodity, firmness, and delight. Far from being nostalgic or traditional, we seek to engage in a dialogue with these fundamental and everlasting concerns.

Our inspirations and references come from myriad sources. A borrowed quote from the Slow Food Manifesto conveys the motivations that underpin all the work: A firm defense of quiet material pleasure is the only way to oppose/counter the universal folly of fast life.
