Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I know that choosing a private teacher can be a difficult decision! Choosing the right teacher can lead to a lifetime of enjoying your instrument, while choosing the wrong teacher can quickly lead to frustration. Because this is a tough decision, I try to make it just a little easier by offering my first lesson free of both charge and commitment. In this first lesson we'll talk about your goals and interests, prior experience, and start figuring out what we will focus on if you plan to continue. The main goal for the first lesson is to give you a sense of what lessons will be like, so you can then decide if I'll be a good fit for you. I realize that I may not be the cheapest option, but as with most things in life you often get what you pay for. I take great pride in my job both as a player and as an educator, and I try to offer competitive prices while at the same time not selling myself short! I love seeing students grow and improve on their instrument, and I always enjoy seeing that look when something just "clicks". I know that playing something in front of an instructor can be a little nerve-wracking, so I try to do my best to make my students feel comfortable and enjoy our lessons. I've been a lover of music ever since I was a kid, and over the years that love grew into a passion and eventually a career. Any day that is surrounded by music is a good day!

I meet him at his little studio for about half hour, went over my goals I had as a bass player no Charge. Im a 50 year old man who's been tring to learn bass. Have lots of books and computer aids like songster,Ultimate guitar pro,ect.. . He found my main weekness and started to work on it. In 4 weeks i have learned more than i have in 3 years. His lessons are fun and very informative. Highly recommend Evan Chudnow very professional. If you want to learn bass you need a teacher, books alone and computer aids don't cut it. I should have gotten myself a teacher 3 years ago instead of spend money on books and computer aid. There no substitution like having a good teacher and having the satisfaction of seeing Progress in such a short time. Thanks Evan !!

I gave Evan a shot after hitting a wall with trying to teach myself bass and couldn't be happier. Instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach to his teaching, he sees what level you're at as a student as well as your goals (whether you want to play professionally or as a hobby) and shapes his lesson plan with these things in mind. He knows when to challenge me if I'm getting too comfortable with something and can answer any question I throw at him.

The instructor is very patient and makes you feel comfortable. He does not overwhelm you with too much information to retain at one time as a beginning learner, which is very important in my opinion. I would recommend him to anyone looking to take lessons. I enjoy my lessons with him.

My 12 year old son wanted to play bass and I found Evan through Thumbtack. Evan has been really great. He's clearly an accomplished bass player, with regular gigs in multiple groups. He's very laid back and friendly, but has deep knowledge of the bass. And importantly, he's very patient and supportive for my son, even when his busy schedule keeps him from practicing as much as we'd like. Evan's also been extremely accommodating of our hectic family schedule, helping find perfect times on a weekly basis. His rate is very reasonable, and we look forward to watching our son's playing evolve. Highly recommended for player's at any level.

Evan’s a great dude! Always friendly as heck and tries to make the best use of your time that he can. I’ve gotten so much more skilled since starting lessons with him.
