Raised in New Orleans, Ashley began her training at age 16 when she entered a barber apprenticeship. After deciding to shift her talents from styling hair to makeup, Ashley began working on modeling portfolios where she specialized in makeup application. Subsequently she became not only a makeup artist but also a makeup instructor.
In 2004, Ashley moved to New York. She immediately began working on various campaigns for Conde’ Nast as well as editorial spreads for magazines including Modern Bride & Brides.com. She began working with clients such as Old Milwaukee, Planet Beach, House Of Style, and many other cosmetic and clothing companies.
In 2006, Ashley explored her talents into video working as a key makeup artist on two Universal Films. Ashley has also worked on the Miss USA pageants for 2007 and 2008, print and video.
Currently, Ashley is working freelance in Los Angeles, Ashley has worked on the 2009 Day-time Emmys and for People Magazine. When she is not traveling with clients or working on photo shoots, Gomila divides her time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
