Introduction: I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor in Los Angeles. I work with adults, teens, couples and families on all kinds of emotional and relationship issues. I have a particular interest in couples counseling, family therapy, life transitions, career development and grief and loss issues. I also enjoy working with creative people whose lives are maybe out of balance. Change is difficult but necessary in life. As human beings we tend to fantasize about reinventing ourselves or the situations that we created. We wish there was a magic wand that could transform us. I work with this desire for change and help people process the hard places that they don't want to go to alone. I believe that doing this work will provide a richer and more meaningful life. I bring a direct, grounded approach to helping people with their day-to-day situations, while also drawing upon my training in psychodynamic therapy to work towards lasting change. My style is flexible, informal and gently confrontational. I bring warmth and compassion to help open up possibilities for people. It's exciting when something that seemed unattainable begins to seem reachable. My role as a therapist is to create a safe, trusting and comfortable environment, where we become curious together about what is not working in your life and find new ways to approach situations.
