When I met John Cleveland a year ago, I had no idea that this man's passion for food covered not only a plethora of creative and delicious ideas, but actually culminated in something far more surprising...
"Cereal." He tells me one night after work.
I'm as big a fan of cereal as the next guy, and my curiosity was piqued so I pressed him for more info about it.
He spoke of this work with the wise and level headed air that is John, but also with an excitement in his voice and a smile in his eyes.
I asked if he would make me a batch. He said I would be his first paying customer and I accepted that honor right away!
A few days later he asked me to come over, so he could give me the full presentation of what he is going for.
I sat staring at the flakes and dried cherries inside two huge mason jars. It smelled delicious.
He poured me a bowl, but before dousing it with a jug of goats milk he pulled from the fridge, he whips an egg white at the table.
He sets the whipped egg white on top of this wholesome mass of flakes that are occupying my bowl.
Then comes the goat milk... And as I sit there watching the egg white dissolve into shimmering swirls mixing with the milk, I think... This has got to be the best damn looking bowl of cereal I've ever seen.
The first bite confirmed that. ALL THAT.
As I eat, he tells me his process.
How he spent months like a mad scientist, making recipes, having them fail, mixing and matching, perfecting his craft. And it shows.
Once baked, he presses the flakes by hand, individually, making sure they are instilled with all the love that he feels for what he does.
And that's how we all should eat, shouldn't we? Food made with love. Cleveland's Kitchen and the Cereal Exchange are a gateway to nurturing yourself better and feeding your soul.
Made vegan and gluten free. Don't waste your time staring at the endless boxes in the cereal aisle. Do yourself a favor, get yourself a jar of this magic.

It was early May 2014 and I needed a chef for my daughter's Prom which was May 28, 2014. My original plans to have a cateria mexican style all of a sudden cancelled. I was told about Chef Cleveland, however I had not experienced his services and took a chance. Well I was very pleased with Mr. Cleveland services and meal plan. He did everything! He had his staff and he ran the show. I never had to go in the kitchen and the food was amazing. My guest was pleased and so was I. I can't wait until the next party and Chef Cleveland will be my Personal first pick, hands down! Chef Cleve is the business!

John is Amazing!! He has such a beautiful passion for healthy deliciousness and does it all with a smile. John has done numerous dinner parties for me and everyone Loved every dish!! I love his connection to all he does- pours his heart and soul into every dish- Grateful for you, John!

This man is a food genius! He brings such creativity and artistic talent to the dining experience. He was able to explain the process of how he made everything when I asked and he was very educated with his responses. I went home with a very happy belly :) I highly recommend him for any of your dining needs! You definitely won't regret it :)

John is a nice man, good cook. I think he loves cooking and cates about food. All of his food was tasty and all my guests complimented the food. Tasty to a fault I would advise to order more than you think needed as his food is gone as soon as the platter hit the table. He also brought with him a good bartender.
