DJ Jacques

Introduction: This L.A. native discovered his passion for spinning records in 1992, when he bought his first turntables and mixer setup. Jacques began promoting and DJing with Destructo (Hard Creator) at all of the local underground warehouse parties, after hours, and raves. Jacques continued DJing and began opening for DJ AM and DJ Vice at local Hollywood clubs. This is where he really started honing his skills. Through hard practice and determination, he got residencies at The Wynn casino in Las Vegas, Hustler Casino in Los Angeles, Malibu Inn in Malibu, and started DJing all over the country. Jacques also started DJing for loads of corporations like Redbull, GM, Mercedes,Target, Nike, DC, Quiksilver, Cadillac, etc. He has performed with artists like 50 Cent, Kid Rock, Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, Run DMC, Mary J Blige, etc. His regular gigs consist of X-Games, Street League Tour, Nascar, sports events, concerts, clubs, corporate events, special events, races, store openings, fashion shows, production company parties, film wrap parties, etc. Jacques likes to spin an open-format set that can dive into house, electro, dubstep, hip-hop, indie, dance, nu disco, or top 40, while always keeping a sexy and fun vibe. He can also stay within a specific genre and keep it just as funky. It all depends on the crowd and venue. On the horizon, Jacques is ready to start producing original music as well as remixes, and is in the process of working with songwriters. Despite this shift towards producing, Jacques has no intention of transitioning out of performing at clubs. His goal is to play his own tracks at his events, where he can experience the immediacy of the crowd's response, because that is what he thrives on.
