Rani de Leon - Tasteful DJ

Introduction: As a DJ, Rani de Leon is known for his signature blend of eclectic and accessible worldly sounds, jazz textures, and feel-good roots and soul music. From the discerned dance floor to the avid music listener, you will always get tasteful music selections for every occasion. Deejaying for over 15 years, he is the founder of LA's renowned Soul in the Park, which brought soul, international, and jazz music audiences together and set a new standard for LA nightlife for almost four years (2008-2012). Not limiting himself to just music, these days you can catch him making short documentary films about people and places with Form Follows Function, a place-based media group based in Los Angeles. In addition, he is one of the founding members of Fieldwork, a group that collaborates with others to create site-specific experiences that bring together arts and culture, civic engagement, and creative use of public space. He is also a member of the world-famous Los Angeles based web radio collective known as Dublab, for which he hosts a monthly radio show every second Monday (2 PM - 4 PM) called Tizita Radio.
