FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our first meeting is free with any additional meetings costing $15 per hour. Independent shopping costs $18 per hour and shopping together costs $25 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the customer to understand their needs, interests and experiences with shopping. We discuss whether the customer wants to rebuild their wardrobe, is shopping for a special look or is looking for specific pieces. Depending on the customer's preference, there are two options. We can decide on stores and go out shopping together. It can be a single store or an afternoon of activity! This can work best when the customer is looking for a specific look or piece. The other option is that I go shopping with the customer's needs and guidelines in mind. We'll then have a fitting meeting where we discuss and decide on looks. If I shop for you independently, I will take care of returns, and we'll arrange either pre-payment of budget or reimbursement. Agreement to shopping services requires signed contract with budgets and payments laid out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in costume design that entailed makeup, patternmaking/draping, milinery and costume crafts training. I've worked for theater, film, dance and opera for nine years. Currently, I am a junior stylist in an editorial studio for an ecommerce brand.
