True Building
5/5 stars May 7, 2012
I recently hired True Building on a big job to remodel my house from top to bottom. Included in the repairs was a faulty foundation that needed to be entirely redone. Raleigh and Matt did all the working professionally and with speed. They are a pleasure to work with and are the most knowledgeable contractors I have ever dealt with. I refer them to all of my friends and family and I hope that you will as well.

True Building does a great job and was very proffesional when doing general contractor work. Some other general contractors I have seen have done quick and incomplete jobs. I have noticed the products from True building to be very well done and complete with all details covered.
Another thing that impressed me about True building was the efficiency with which they were able to complete a job with numerous skill types involved.

First off let me say that I am sceptical when it comes to Contractors you never know who or what you're going to get and of what quality.
The above being said, a friend of mine used True Building on her basement and recomended I try them out. I did and they did an incredible job. My deck looks beautiful.
The attention to detail and customer service was what I had been loking for and that is what i recieved from True Building, thanks Raleigh.

A. Mostly tricky carpentry projects at the moment. However I find myself being commissioned to do a lot of small and mid size projects requiring several trades such as framing, plumbing, electrical and finish carpentry. Kitchens and Bathrooms are also somewhat popular.
A. First of all do your research about any potential service provider. Second, ask as many questions as necessary to gain as much understanding about your project as you can. Third, make sure you get along and communicate well with the person who will be handling your project. Fourth, ensure you have all agreements in writing. If you do those things you should end up happy with your project.
A. Well it doesn't hurt that I have been retained to build some cool projects! HA! But all joking aside I feel what sets aside my work from a majority of contractors is my desire to see a quality product and my attention to detail in the pursuit of achieving that goal in each project that I do.
A. I love seeing something that I have built with my own two hands and put sweat, blood and tears into making as much of a quality product as possible. There is nothing to me like the satisfaction that gives me aside from possibly seeing the satisfaction of a client who now owns the thing I have built.
A. Where did I learn to do what I do? and how long have I been doing it? would be the two most common I would say.
I began doing construction over 10 years ago and have worked many construction related jobs in many trades during that time. Mostly I desired working for small contractors who did projects that demanded a higher degree of quality than average as I enjoy a good challenge. In the process I learned a great deal about pretty much every trade that goes into building a home and ultimately applied for and received a GC license. But truthfully building things is as much who I am as a profession and I am constantly attracted to any opportunity to learn something new about building and its this that I think has allowed me to learn so much about the art and craft of building.
A. Well I have been doing a lot of work in a bunch of art lofts in Venice beach. I have done a couple of doors made of reclaimed wood which I've been pretty satisfied with. One was a large 4'x86" pocket door and the other was a regular 32"x80" door hung on barn door track hardware outside a bathroom.
A. Well I just finished a winding staircase made of reclaimed wood. I have posted pictures of it on my profile here. I also filled a section of it with 1/2" all-thread covered with 5/8 steal pipe making up spindles to fill an open section and hold up the stairs.
A second project in the same home was a bar top (pictures of which are also posted on here) made of Fijian hard wood and is also a project I liked although not a particularly large one.
A. I guess our pricing system is complicated in that it takes some experience to figure out; as my estimated cost for a project is made up of material cost, labor cost and business overhead and profit. So you either have to have a pretty good idea of what the material cost will be, a good estimate of the labor hours at different skill levels and adding a fair cost for overhead and profit and you could probably get a ballpark figure. Or you could just contact me and I will give you an estimate for free.
