FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the photographer is good, make sure they are licensed, make sure you like working with them. It boggles my mind when clients hire another photographer simply because their price is a little lower. When it comes to advertising or headshots, quality is what's going to sell. Price shopping is what my mother would call "penny wise and pound foolish". You save a small amount up front, but lose in the end with every sale or every casting you miss. If you're on a budget, be up front about that budget and also be a little flexible as well!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Photography is a challenge. There's the thought that cameras and Photoshop are so incredible that anyone can do it....until you do it. There's lighting, reflectors, props, styling, there's so much that goes into it that I've often said that the easiest part about being a photographer is actually taking the photo. Everything that comes before and after - that's the work!
