I have been working as a successful mental health counselor and vocational counselor with all ages since 1995. I have a master's degree in transpersonal counseling, psychology, and child art therapy. I have a post-graduate certification in clinical hypnosis. My success rate is 1-4 sessions. My specialty is stress, anxiety, and trauma release, as well as professional, relationship, and personal goal achievement. I also have experience with children's mental health disorders, and I work with veterans and their families.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I see private clients, and I consult for hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, corporations, and non-profits. I also do some film, TV, and radio cameos and interviews when the opportunity presents itself.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If you are looking for a credible hypnotherapist, or mental health practitioner, I suggest you check out their credentials. Are they certified? How long have they been practicing? What kind of degrees do they have? What kind of consistent work experience do they have? Ask questions. Therapy is a cooperative process. No one should ever tell you that they can dominate your mind, or make you do anything. You have to be willing to make positive changes for yourself. The therapist is supposed to be a skilled facilitator, who can show you the most efficient way to implement the changes you want to make.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Ever wonder how hypnotherapy works? Uncontrolled hypnosis happens naturally to everyone every day, especially when you skip meals! In a controlled session you tell me what you want to change and what goals you want to achieve. I use my certified skills to show you how to release old information from your subconscious that is outdated. Instead, we will replace new goals on the forefront of your mind that you will start to work towards more efficiently each day. It works!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask how much a provider charges. The average cost for hypnotherapy service is anywhere from $50-$300 an hour. Less experienced/newer therapists will charge about $50-$75 an hour. A more experienced therapist can charge in the range of $150-$200 per hour. Some who only speak a limited language like Chinese, can get away with charging $300 per hour. I charge an average rate below $200 for my services. I charge $150 per hour with a sliding scale for people experiencing financial hardship. Ethics and trust are crucial in the field of therapy of any kind.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. As the client, what do you want to improve in your life? Are you willing to change bad habits? Are you willing to take responsibility for implementing the changes worked on in the session, once you leave the session? Making a list of your thoughts, concerns, and of the issues you would like to address, is always helpful and helps to save time over problem solving during the session.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have a lot of experience in my field of work. I have found my vocation, and I am skilled at what I do because I am highly trained. I relate to my clients where they are at when they come in. My goal is not to drag out therapy for years, but to get my clients better and on their way to using everyday tools on their own.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I also do consulting work, so I enjoy having flexible hours. I really enjoy seeing people's faces change and light up after the session, class, or group that I lead. I am committed to facilitating positive social change. I love seeing positive transformation happen with clients who are open and willing to do the work.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I am very well versed in natural medicine. I have great tips to share, based on my own experience of over 20 years, with organic foods, and herbal medicines that have been priceless in keeping myself and my family healthy and happy.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. As more people find me on the web, I hope to see them share more of their positive affirmations and personal life changing stories and testimonials. A great place to read some great testimonials about my work, is on my Google listing.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am always learning more techniques on how to heal people efficiently, and on how to engage people deeply so that they get the most out of every session.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My greatest strength is that I am resilient and determined to accomplish the things that I am inspired to do. I have a strong intuition, and have honed my insight to be able to get straight to the source of an issue in order to reach a solution.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. I am working on improving my on camera skills. It is actually difficult to sit very still for TV or film shoots. I always want to move my hands when I speak!
